Postnatal exercise

Receive valuable information about the pelvic floor, its composition and vital tasks.

Awareness and strengthening exercises for your pelvic floor, deep abdominal and back muscles will help you to improve your body awareness and support regeneration after a pregnancy and birth.

Regular tightening of the different muscle layers, an upright posture and conscious breathing allow you to perform daily tasks such as heavy lifting, coughing or sneezing with less stress on your pelvic floor and prevent the risk of incontinence or prolapse.

Training your entire core reduces the rectus diastasis and lets you return to a previous sport such as Pilates, yoga or strength training.


The postnatal exercise course is recommended earliest after six (natural birth) and eight (c-section) weeks.

Postnatal exercise is offered in German and English and takes place in the beautiful premises of Yoga Atelier in the heart of Basel.

Language and course instructor are noted. The course concept is identical.

Postnatal exercise course includes

  • Eight evenings of 60 minutes each

  • Exchange experiences and knowledge with other women
